This role includes participation in our Casting Apprenticeship Program, designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in the foundry industry.
Through hands-on training and mentorship, you will:
- Learn the fundamentals of aluminum permanent mold casting
- Progress from finishing operations into casting responsibilities
- Receive structured, on-the-job training supported by experienced Cell Leaders
- Develop technical skills, safety awareness, and continuous improvement practices
- Gain opportunities for advancement into higher-skilled casting roles
No prior casting experience is required – we invest in your development and support your growth every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate fully in training programs provided
- Manufacture castings in a team-oriented production environment
- Perform cutting, sanding and grinding of castings
- Progress into casting duties as training milestones are achieved
- Work collaboratively with other Finishers, Casters and Cell Leaders to meet delivery commitments
- Apply 5S and Continuous Improvement practices
What You Bring:
- Ability to follow procedures and willingness to learn new skills
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal & written)
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Flexibility with working overtime
- Previous exposure to a lean manufacturing environment is an asset
