We are an integrated, single-source solutions provider delivering consistent, high-quality aluminum permanent mold castings to our customers.

We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer to join our Process Innovation Team. 
The successful candidate will work closely with operators, engineering, quality, and automation teams to develop efficient and repeatable machining processes. This role will also play a key part in helping develop and implement future CNC automation opportunities within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts.
    • Develop efficient toolpaths using CAM software.
    • Estimate machining cycle times, tooling requirements, and setup considerations for new opportunities to support quoting
    • Set up and prove out new jobs, including tooling and fixturing requirements.
    • Support CNC operators by providing technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
    • Improve machining processes to increase productivity, quality, repeatability, and consistency.
    • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on manufacturability and process improvements.
    • Support the development and implementation of CNC automation initiatives, including opportunities related to machine tending, process standardization, tooling strategies, and repeatable setup methods.
    • Develop and maintain work instructions, setup documentation, and inspection requirements.
    • Manage program revisions and maintain accurate CNC program backups.
    • Transfer jobs between machines when required to support production demands.
    • Train operators on new programs, setups, and machining processes.
    • Promote and maintain safe work practices.
What You Bring:
    • Journeyperson Machinist, CNC Programmer, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Minimum 3–5 years of CNC programming and setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience programming CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers; CNC turning experience is considered an asset.
    • Proficient with CAM software such as MasterCAM or GibbsCAM.
    • Strong understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds and speeds, and workholding techniques.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
    • Experience troubleshooting machining and process issues.
    • Experience with CNC automation, robotic machine tending, pallet systems, probing, or lights-out machining is considered an asset.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
